Required Technology

Participation in our videoconferencing programs requires either a hardware/codec system (Polycom, Cisco/Tandberg, LifeSize, etc.) or a device with an eyeball camera and compatible software (Zoom, ClearSea, Jabber, RealPresence, Vidyo, BlueJeans, Acano, etc.). We cannot connect via Skype or Google Hangouts. If you are registered for a McDonald Observatory videoconference through www.Connect2Texas.net, then Connect2Texas will act as a central hub (bridge) for your connection to McDonald Observatory.
