Smith Telescope with IGRINS

The IGRINS instrument (foreground) sits inside the dome of the Harlan J. Smith Telescope. The telescope is visible at left. IGRINS stands for Immersion Grating Infrared Spectrometer. The instrument is a collaboration between The University of Texas and the Korea Astronomy and Space Science Institute.
